How plan credits and pack credits work together
Plan credits are spent first and reset at each renewal, so unused plan credits do not roll over. Pack credits are spent after them and never expire.

How much does Canvas Builder cost?
Building and downloading sites runs on one-time credit packs: Starter 30 credits for $9, Pro 120 credits for $29, and Studio 300 credits for $59. There is no subscription required to generate and export HTML. Hosting is a separate monthly plan: Free plan ($0, 1 site), Starter plan ($9 a month), Pro plan ($19 a month), Studio plan ($29 a month).
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You get 5 free credits on signup with no credit card required, enough to generate and preview a real page before paying. Canvas HTML Template buyers get 10 more free credits after verifying their purchase through Envato (the purchase needs active support).
What is a credit and how many do I need?
Credits are used when the AI builds or edits your site. The cost scales with the work: a single section uses fewer credits than a full multi-page site, and a small edit costs less than a rebuild. There are no page or section limits; a complete site simply uses more credits than one block.
Do credits expire?
Credits from packs, from the signup bonus and from the template buyer bonus never expire. Buy a Studio pack in January and the credits are still there in December. The AI credits included with a paid hosting plan are different: they reset at each renewal and are spent before your pack credits.
What does a hosting plan add?
A hosting plan is separate from credit packs. The Free plan publishes 1 site on a name.cnvs.site address. Paid plans add monthly AI credits (25, 60 or 100), more published sites (3, 10 or 25), custom domains, a design-matched auto-blog, higher contact-form limits, longer analytics history and team seats (Pro and Studio). Plans are billed monthly or yearly. You never need a plan to build and download sites.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Generating and downloading is credits only. Hosting, custom domains, the auto-blog and team seats are on the monthly hosting plans, priced on this page and never bundled into the build cost.
What happens if a generation fails?
If a build fails before it changes anything, you are not charged. Turns that wrote output, or that you stopped, are billed for the work they did, because credits are charged on actual usage.
